NO LIMITS!!!!

I was inspired by a previous post of the deaf dance in China, which led me to further youtube-ing in which I found this.  I love that deafness is not a limitation to those born to dance.  You think it would be... but on the contrary.  While I thoroughly enjoyed this, I also share a bit of embarrassment because I cant dance... Well I guess grace abounds. (lets hope anyway, lol)

  1. Loved this! Shows that someone only needs to hear the vibrations of the music to dance to it. i wish i could dance like this haha

  2. This was really cool. I loved what the Deaf people had to say. For example the girl who said its okay to be silly and how dancing got her out of her shyness. I think it is neat how the vibrations is what they feel and as a group they feel that together and move together. I agree with Kendra it is very creative.

  3. This is awesome!! It's so great to see how dancing affects people differently - I know I used to be a dancer and it has always been a part of my heart. I also loved how the colors were obviously an important part of the performances - visual excitment! So unique!

  4. Keisha, I think this is great! It's a great reminder that just because someone is deaf and can't hear the music, it shouldn't set limitations. The deaf CAN do many things, just in different ways. This reminded me of an episode on "So You Think You Can Dance," one of the contestants was a young deaf man and he did an AMAZING job performing. He explained to the judges that he could feel the vibrations and that's how he new the beat to the music.

  6. I love this! In my observations I have seen a deaf choir and talked about it to my friends. Most of them are like, "how does that work?" I think its kind of a similar thing. Deaf people can accommodate themselves to do anything.

  8. Deaf people can daaaance. And quite well. I'm HOH and whenever I was in middle school, I was on the dance team. And did quite well, if I may say so myself. And I was also in band and marching bad as well. People would ask me how I did it...and I wouldn't really have an answer for that.

It's amazing to see how so many different people with varying hearing loss can be talented in areas that people would immediately think they can't do. There are no limits.

  9. I love this! I think it really shows that we don't have to limit ourselves based on what society thinks we can/can't do. Thanks for sharing :)

  10. That was really awesome to watch. I am pretty sure that everyone on that video can dance much much better than I can.
