Marlee Matlin on the Apprentice
So last night the apprentice premiered and Marlee Matlin is on it. I thought it was so cool to see her on it I was truly fascinated. I think what I loved more than anything is how strong she is and that nobody needs to underestimate her. I think that she is going to do very well in this show. She is raising money for a charity that gives hearing aids to children and adults for free. That's awesome - I love that she's an active advocate for what she believes and that she's involved in lots of different organizations. She's been a very prominant actress in movies and various shows, and it's kind-of exciting that she'll be on a reality show that will (hopefully) portray her true perspectives and personality. Hope she wins!

Thanks for posting! I was not aware that Marlee Matlin was on the apprentice this season. I agree with you and Kristi that she is a passionate advocate that has been extremely involved. It will be exciting to see how far she makes it on the show.
ReplyDeleteAfter having Marlee Matlin for our multimedia project, I have even a greater respect for her. She is so inspirational. She doesn't let her deafness stand in the way of acting in the hearing working world. I think I'm going to starting watching the Apprentice!!
ReplyDeleteI happened to see this episode and found it absolutely amazing. I feel that this class has opened my eyes to make me more aware of the deaf in the community and world. I feel that I now notice the deaf in more lights! Awesome!
ReplyDeleteI love Marlee Matlin, and I think it is so great that she can be on another tv show to show off how deafness cannot stop someone from their dreams. She is someone that is easy to look up to for all she has done for deafness. I don't generally watch the apprentice, but I might have to start watching it.
ReplyDeleteMarlee Matlin is great. She really doesn't let her deafness effect her goals and I appreciate that she is outspoken about her deafness, I think it encourages people to learn more. I am also excited to hear that she is raising money for that charity. Hearing amplification is so expensive not every family can get that for themselves or their children.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy watching Marlee Matlin. I think she is a great actress and great that she seems to get so much support. There is a lot that she does that is beneficial for others!
ReplyDeleteI also love Marlee Matlin - I realize that some might be offended, but did anyone catch her on Comedy Central's Roast of Donald Trump - she was soooo funny. She even used her regular interpreter as part of a joke -- just to show again, Deaf people can do anything they want to do, even make fun of Donald Trump! =]
