Hello!
My name is Adrienne Harper! I am a junior in the ASLIE department. I really enjoy signing and interacting in the Deaf community. I am from Columbus, Indiana and have only lived in Richmond for a year. I have my Associates degree in ASL from VU. I do not plan on becoming an Interpreter after I leave this program but I do intend to work in a field in which I will be working with and alongside Deaf individuals. I am very passionate about DV/SA prevention and education. I am also very active in the LGBTQ community. One potential direction I would like to head would be to work with Deaf LGBTQ indiviuals or the Deaf survivors of DV/SA. I currently work on campus at EKU-SAFE as a Peer Educator, and really love my job. I am also the President of the campus PRIDE Alliance and am very active on campus through that organization. All of that keeps me pretty busy, but outside of that I really love to spend time with my boyfriend and puppy. I love most things vintage and can be found wearing a dress on nearly every sunny day.
My name is Kendra Wilkinson. I am a second time around student after nearly 25 years of attending college once before. I decided to come to EKU because I am interested in the Deaf community and being able to communicate with the Deaf. I work in Danville at our hospital in registration. I am majoring in Special Ed Deaf/HH and minoring in ASL. I juggle work, home and school the best that I can. Being a little older has its challenges but I am always learning and hope my family appreciate the sacrifice I am making. I am easy going and easy to talk to
